Neighborways is a small, growing agency making a difference in transit access and public space in New England.

We’re currently looking to expand our team with a great operations/project manager who will help keep us and our projects running smoothly. Can be fully remote.

Operations /Project Manager

This is a hybrid role responsible for both managing the administrative operations of the office, like scheduling, client data, and communication, while also overseeing the project management aspects of design consulting projects ensuring they run smoothly, meet deadlines, and achieve desired outcomes for clients, essentially acting as the central coordinator for all projects within the agency.

Key Responsibilities:

Administrative Management:

  • Managing client scheduling and calendar coordination

  • Maintaining client records and data in CRM systems

  • Handling office communication, including emails and phone calls

  • Managing office supplies and logistics

Project Management for Design Consulting Projects:

  • Developing and implementing project plans for each consulting project

  • Tracking progress of project milestones

  • Reviewing project management software to track budgets and resource allocation for projects

  • Develop draft progress reports and invoices

  • Coordinating with internal execs, designers and engineers to ensure timely delivery of projects
    Identifying potential roadblocks and addressing client concerns

Skills Required:

  • Experience in consulting and freelancing, ability to self manage and work remote - ideally 3-5+ years

  • Strong organizational and time management skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities for internal and client communications

  • Proficiency in project management tools and software

  • Proficiency in Avaza to manage payroll and time sheets with project data

  • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively

  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy

Desired but not required: 

  • Experience in transportation, public art, urban design and planning and related fields
